Guild


The Theatre Guild is the Student Theatre Organization. Students meet to discuss shows, important information about the program, and vote on upcoming productions, and theatre opportunities.

The Guild has student leaders to help others who want to learn about their areas.

Officer of Electrics:

Maintains the light board, soundboard, dimmer rack, and booth. Assists with hanging and focusing of lights, set up of monitors, entering of cues, and finding sound effects. Brings any issues with areas to the attention of the directors for fixing. Helps with general build and tech projects.

Officer of Back Stage:

Helps run an efficient back stage area. Double checks the appearance of actors before their cues, helps with props, and costume area, and inventory. Brings any issues with areas to the attention of the directors for fixing. Makes sure other students know where to go for questions. Helps with general build and tech projects.

Officers of Costumes:

Maintains the costume closets and rooms. Organizes, and cleans those areas. Helps pull costumes, and fixes rips and tears of reasonable size. Helps with general build and tech projects.

Officer of Props:

Maintains the prop room and shelves. Maintains the inventory list of all the props. Helps pull props for shows. Sets up a prop table. Helps actors remember where their props are set. Cleans up props and resets them after each show. Helps with general build and tech projects.

Officer of Hair and Makeup:

Helps design makeup and hair for all actors with input from the directors. Maintains makeup station. Assists actors with makeup and hair for all shows. Helps with general build and tech projects.

Officer of Publicity:

Puts out the word about all shows and Guild Events. Creates posters, flyers, and advertisements. Coordinates the distribution of all as materials. Maintains and post important information on the Guild Facebook page and website. Helps with general build and tech projects.

Officer of Box Office:

Maintains the appearance of the box office. Keeps order of tickets and presale orders. Mans box office before each show. Helps with general build and tech projects.

Officer of Front of House:

Maintains the appearance of the house. Helps design the programs. Coordinates ushers, and briefs them before each show. Make sure ushers are helping patrons, and patrons are following house rules. Lets stage manager know when the house is ready to go before the start of the show. Helps with general build and tech projects.

Officer of Shop:

Maintains a clean and orderly tool bench and cabinets. Brings any problems with the tools to the attention of the director. Helps maintain the lumber racks and flat racks. Helps with general build and tech projects.
