Volunteers & Donations

Simley Theatre regularly needs volunteers and donations of time, supplies, and other items to help with various aspects of it’s productions.

Production Volunteers:

Parents of Simley Theatre students are called on to volunteer in support of fundraising efforts, to sell tickets and concessions, to help with meals and other activities in support of the cast, crew, and directors. Community members are also more than welcome to sign up to help! If you’re a parent or community member and would like to sign up to support our productions, please visit the Parent Sign-Up page to look for current needs.

Build Volunteers:

Our tech director is always looking for help building sets for upcoming shows! If you’ve got a talent in this area and would like to help, please contact Jim Davis at jdavis@tridistrictce.org.

Donations of costumes, set pieces, and supplies:

We often need specific costume pieces, set pieces, props and other supplies and will list those show-specific needs under “Prop Needs” on our website, in this section. We also frequently accept donations from community members of costume pieces or other items that can be used in future productions. If you’d like to make a donation to Simley Theater of clothing or other items, please contact Annie Platek at aplatek@simleytheatre.org.

Financial Donations:

Running a theatre program is expensive, and putting on great shows that the entire community can enjoy is costly! This program is run through community education funds and is supplemented by fundraising efforts of the Simley Theatre Booster Club. Monetary donations are always welcome! Please contact Annie Platek to make a donation to Community Education, or Kris Maynard at boosterpres@simleytheatre.org to make a donation to the Simley Theatre Boosters.

The Simley Theatre Booster Club has a number of fundraisers throughout the year. Our primary fundraiser is the Taste of the Grove, which occurs during the Inver Grove Heights Days celebration each September. This fundraiser helps pay for things like the live orchestra in our spring musicals and other extra production costs throughout the year. Local restaurants donate taster-sized food items and community members purchase tickets to enjoy local foods and entertainment by our talented students. Please join us in September for this annual event!

Other fundraiser information will be posted on the home page of our website. Please consider supporting Simley Theatre by attending fundraising events such as dining fundraisers and a fun bowling fundraiser in the Spring, as well as Cub bagging fundraisers and anything else we can come up with!
